Michael Gendich’s extensive manufacturing background starts in the 1950’s in Downtown Detroit where he learned the trade of machining as a teenager. He graduated in 1958 and attended the University of Detroit School of Engineering, where he was trained in Drafting, Metallurgy, and Business principles. After working as a draftsman, a salesman, and as a shop manager, Michael became inclined to start his own Machine shop. He dreamed of a maximum efficiency shop that could utilize modern technologies and work as a team to solve industry problems.
